I have media keys on my keyboard I use to control music on my desktop (play, pause, forward, backwards, etc.)
Unfortunately when I am in a NoMachine client session on my desktop, NoMachine captures these keys and I am not able to use them. I have to click off the session to my actual computer, then I can use the keys.

How do I disable NoMachine from hijacking these keys? They don’t do anything useful in my client sessions, I need them to control my desktop.

I know there is a way to adjust how the Windows key operates, anyway to do the same with the media keys?

When connecting to the remote desktop, the general consensus is that as many keys as possible are captured to be used in the remote desktop session. What you could do, when you have the session open, is open the menu (Ctrl-Alt-0). No keys are forwarded to the remote session when the menu is open. So, activate the menu, continue with your local desktop activity using the media keys. You can press Esc in the session to bring back the remote desktop.
