    Hello,

I have a question regarding balloon/popup notifications in version 8.

In version 7 it was possible to edit the node.cfg and change the #DisplayMonitorNotifications 1 to DisplayMonitorNotifications 0

This would disable the notifications when someone connects to the server. Ergo, the computer user can not see that someone is connected to the computer and won’t be notified.

This option appears not to be present in the Version 8 node.cfg file.

When i tried to add the line: DisplayMonitorNotifications 0 , it still shows the notifications.
It is essential that i am able to remove these notifications for my purposes.
    What is the solution?

    With Regards,

    René

Balloon messages, which are used to notify (e.g someone has connected/disconnected) as well as prompt the desktop user to accept a specific function (e.g accept an incoming connection), are a central security feature of NoMachine software. Whilst in version 7 it is possible to disable all balloon messages using the appropriate key in node.cfg, in version 8 the disabling of all balloon messages is no longer possible.

In v8 we have maintained the possibility to show/not show the !M service icon in the system tray (like it is in version 7) but notification messages will still be displayed since they are independent from the !M icon.
