I have installed Nomachine on a Linux HTPC machine to allow me to make changes remotely to this PC. Usually the Linux PC boots straight into my HTPC media software. With Nomachine, as soon as this occurs, a server status window pops up, and cannot be removed without exiting the HTPC software and then logging out and back in. Can this server pop up window be disabled from appearing when logging in? If not , the software is not usable for this type of application unfortunately. This would be a shame as it works really well when I do want to connect from other PC’s.

As I understood the behavior of nxplayer this happens when “NX Monitor” can’t find system tray.

But, as I see, there is no system tray in your configuration 🙂

When it’s not possible to use the system tray, access to NoMachine services via the menu should be disabled in order to avoid occupying the whole screen.

There is Trouble Report here: https://www.nomachine.com/TR12K04135

A more elaborate solution using hot-keys to show the menu is already under way.
