We are evaluating using NoMachine Enterprise to connect to hosts running NoMachine but through a web browser. There is something called the Pointer Lock API (You can Google this) which prevents the mouse cursor from leaving the web browser. This is very important if you have 3d experience full screen application and need to keep the mouse in the browser window.

Background: We run a museum with 3d exhibits and are evaluating different remote desktop applications. We cannot install the NoMachine client so we are limited to using a web browser. Not being able to lock the mouse in the web browser is a bit of a deal breaker for us.

I didn’t see any setting to lock the mouse in the web browser but I may have missed it. Is there a setting that we missed?

Hi, this is supported in traditional NoMachine Player sessions via “Grab the mouse input”, but it’s currently not possible with Web Player sessions. We fully understand the utility of being able to lock the mouse in the browser, so we will investigate adding the option to web-based sessions as well.
