Error is 60: Operation timed out (local network)

I have two laptops (with windows on them) and an iphone.

The following tests were done using a local network connection.

I downloaded NoMachine on my iphone 6s plus and tried to connect to Computer 1 but it gave the error message:

Error is 60: operation timed out.

I tried connecting my iphone to computer 2 and it works just fine so the problem is from computer 1.

I tried connecting computer 2 to computer 1 ( computer 2 controlling computer 1) and it didn’t work.

I tried connecting computer 1 to computer 2 ( computer 1 controlling computer 2) and it works.

so the problem seems to be when other devices control computer 1

Note that I’m using windows for computer 1 and computer 2 and these tests were all done over local network.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling multiple times but it didn’t work, also when I reinstalled I noted that my previous connections were still saved so not everything was reset/deleted

Hi ronihaddad,

Maybe the firewall on your Windows machine is blocking the connections. Can you check your firewall configuration or try to disable it for a moment and test it works?

For anyone reading this, the problem might be from an antivirus’ firewall, windows 10’s firewall didn’t cause any issues.
