Cannot map port 4000 to external (Internet) access port.
After clicking on the “Use UPnP…” checkbox, it comes up with the error  “Failed to map the port using UPnP”.
Can connect on LAN from another computer.

Have configured LinkSys router to map to external port 20404. See screenshot.

    NoMachine Version 8.14.2 (8.14.2)
    Computer: Mac mini
    Model Identifier: Mac14,3
    Model Number: MMFK3B/A
    Chip: Apple M2
System Version: macOS Sequoia 15.1 (24B83)
    Kernel Version: Darwin 24.1.0

Also the same problem on a MacBookAir M2 running Sequoia 15.1

Did you already take a look at the following article?

How to connect over the internet to NoMachine behind a NAT router
    https://kb.nomachine.com/AR10R01099

“Failed to map the port on gateway” suggests that the port you used in the port-forwarding rule on your router could already already be in use. Go back to your router and change the external port number to something else, then restart the nxserver (NoMachine settings -> Server -> Status -> Restart) . For safe measure also restart UPnP.

Is it possible there is a double NAT in place? If so, you will need to map the ports on both routers. So Router A must map to Router B and Router B to the computer you want to access.

    Hi Britgirl,

Thanks for your response however at the moment I’m overseas on holiday and won’t be returning until mid December.  I shall try it then changing to a different port but as far as I know the port on the router isn’t in use.  There is only one router.

    Regards,

    Mad Mike
