First off I just want to give my thanks and appreciation to NoMachine for making this software available for free for personal use, it seems to be the only Remote Desktop solution that works great with Wayland.

Is it possible to configure/fix Fedora 43 to support remote desktop via NoMachine at SDDM/Display manager (before logging into KDE) ?

This works fine in Debian 13, but for Fedora 43 I only get “no available desktops on this server”.

Is there any configuration I can do on the Fedora 43 machine for this to work like it does for my Debian13 machine?

    I found a workaround/solution by enabling X for SDDM:

    sudo dnf install xorg-x11-server-Xorg
    sudo mkdir -p /etc/sddm.conf.d
echo '[General]' | sudo tee /etc/sddm.conf.d/x11.conf
    echo 'DisplayServer=x11' | sudo tee -a /etc/sddm.conf.d/x11.conf
    sudo reboot

    Now it works like Debian13.
