    Hi Guys

Hoping someone is able to either suggest some useful troubleshooting – or a solution 😀 – to a strange problem we’re having.

We use NoMachine to connect to a number of Linux desktops, ranging from Fedora 24 up to Fedora 29. Most work OK, but there are a couple which for some reason NoMachine doesn’t detect the second display. Bizarrely, if you connect from the machine when close by, you can see that on the NoMachine client, when it looks like the mouse has hit the edge of the screen on the physical screen the cursor is still actualy moving onto the second screen and across it, despite it not showing on the NoMachine client.

Investigating further, it appears that NoMachine on the host is unaware of the dual-screen configuration, hence it’s not being presented to the client.

Any ideas or thoughts very much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance!

Hello. What about screen size? Are you able to change that through the NoMachine client interface?

Do the affected desktop run over Wayland? (A quick way to check: search for processes with “wayland” in the name: ps -ef | grep -i wayland).

    Hi Graywolf

I don’t see any settings in the NoMachine client interface for screen size. I can confirm Wayland is the underlying desktop though…might that be a problem?

    Cheers!

Yes, sharing multiple Wayland screen is not supported, but it will be soon. See : Sharing of multiple monitors is not supported with Wayland desktops

Check “Notify me” to get a notification when the fix is released.

    Hi Graywolf

Disabling Wayland (and rebooting) has resolved the issue. Thank you for your help!
