Hello,
Installed Enterprise trial on Windows 10 desktop nx port 4000 . Installed Enterprise trial client only on Windows 10 pro laptop. Added computer successfully by IP. No firewall ports being blocked, telnet test to port 4000 successful. Upon attempting to connect:
Could not connect to the server. Error is 5: Input/output error
No further information.
Suggestions?

On the machine you are connecting to, (the server), can you check that the NoMachine service is running? To do that, go to the Windows system tray and find the !M icon, right click and select ‘Show server status’. Submit a screenshot please.
Also, check the exact product and version you have installed by going to Updates. Please do this on both Windows computers.
Figured out what the problem was – VMWare Horizon agent was already listening on port 4000. Took that off and it works.
