    Hi,

as the title says I have run into a problem on my first attempt of connecting after successfuly installing the software on both the server and the client.

Both machines run identical versions of 64-bit Windows 10.

The error pops up after I enter the username and password.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Hi neidai,

In order for us to investigate we need you to collect and send us logs. For now, it’s enough to collect server-side logs.
This article explains how to collect the logs: https://knowledgebase.nomachine.com/DT11R00181#1.4

Please submit them to forum[at]nomachine[dot]com adding the title of your topic as the email subject. Thank you!

    Hello neidai,

It appears that ‘nx’ user doesn’t hold the privilege required for starting the nxnode process. In this case, most likely  ‘Act as part of the operating system’ is missing. This is the list of all privileges needed by ‘nx’ account:

Act as part of the operating system
    Log on as a service
Adjust memory quotas for a process
    Replace a process level token

You can find all of them described here:
    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/security/threat-protection/security-policy-settings/user-rights-assignment

Remember that domain group policy can override local group policy settings.

It turned out that the user nx hadn’t received any rights at all. Gave him the ones you mentioned, the program works great now. Thank you very much for the fast reply.
