Hello,
We’re using NoMachine Small Business Server Subscription – Version 4.4.12 with Gnome desktop on Debian Wheezy. The machine is a headless EC2 instance.
Each user connects to its individual virtual desktop and this is working without problems, however we’ve observed a few issues with the video playback on the virtual desktops. These issues doesn’t happen if we connect directly to the “Device display”, unfortunately we cannot connect to the device display because multiple users need to have simultaneous access to their desktop.
On Mplayer, the application doesn’t start and complains about missing framebuffer device.
On VLC, the video doesn’t show (we can hear the sound). We were able to overcome the issue by disabling the “Accelerated video output (overlay)”.
Could it be possible to create virtual framebuffer such as Xvfb per each virtual desktop? Any ideas?
Cheers,
