    Hi Forum,

how do I get rid of a frozen session, i.e. one where the windows and cursor are frozen —
the NoMachine client is still working.

I looked on the web and have
    1) removed all the directories with names  like F- M- S- C- etc in ~/.nx on both the server and the client
    2)  sudo /etc/init.d/nxserver restart  — on both the server and the client
    3) make a new connection to the server.

I still get the same frozen window.

NoMachine 4.2.19-2  installed from a deb package on both machines.
I have just noticed there is a later version so
    sudo dpkg –remove nomachine
    sudo dpkg -i nomachine_4.2.23_1_amd64.deb
    on both machines.

Incredibly i get the same frozen window when I connect.

How can I get rid of it?

    Rob

Can the following TR apply to your case?

If not, please provide the following info.

With frozen you mean that you see the remote screen when connecting but it won’t update? Or that it will update, for example when the clock changes, but input events are not working?

What are your Linux and desktop environment versions?

Logs can be useful. You can gather them as explained in https://www.nomachine.com/AR07K00677 and send to forum[at]nomachine[dot]com.
