I tried all options with CTRL-ALT-0, nothing helps to see the whole screen, the same cropped area is visible only and I cannot move the content in the actual viewport.
Maybe that would help, but I would not like to change the target machine’s 4K resolution to lower.

This is very strange. Can you submit a screenshot showing the problem?
Logs would also be useful. You can gather both player and server side logs by following the instructions in https://kb.nomachine.com/DT07S00243. You can send the logs to forum[at]nomachine[dot]com.
