dlfullerParticipantI’ve been using NoMachine to display MacOS 11.5.1 in a window that’s about 3/4 the maximum size of the client desktop – also a Mac.
The VM’s display is 1920 x 1080 and the client Mac’s main display is also 1920 x 1080.Now I would like to try having NoMachine display it as the Mac’s full-screen mode does for an application – no menubar at the top, no dock, and completely filling the screen. The key commands to typically do this do not seem to work with a NoMachine window. Just a beep.
Is this a NoMachine limitation or something in my screen sizing settings? I kinda get lost with all that the resizing options do.

CarinParticipantHi dlfuller,
This is a known issue. We suggest you enter full-screen mode by pressing Control+Option+F.
We have a high priority feature request open to solve this limitation: Integrating the NoMachine window fullscreen mode with macOS Spaces management.

dlfullerParticipantThanks for the helpful reply @Carlin.
I had been using the Mac standard Control+Command+F for full-screen mode and was only getting beeps. Per your tip, instead that Control+Option+F does what I need for now until the feature request is addressed.
Thanks again.

dlfullerParticipantCuriosity question: That key combination doesn’t show on any Apple listings I have seen. Did I miss it, is it a NoMachine hack, or what?

dlfullerParticipantThanks again @Carin. That Knowledge Base article is immensely helpful. RTM possibly since I had no idea those keyboard shortcuts were available until you referenced it.

BritgirlKeymasterJust to clarify the use of the shortcut to fullscreen on macOS.
Ctrl-Alt-F sends the NoMachine player window to full screen on all operating systems. This is to be consistent across all OSes that we support, so multi-platform users can adopt the same shortcut regardless of what OS they are connecting from.
We also made it so Command-Alt-F still remains for users connecting to remote macOS computers. If you want to send the remote application running in the session to full-screen, you can.
