Update:
everything works as described by rtsoliday after “Disable client side hardware decoding” option is selected. All my Intel graphics drivers are up-to-date.. perhaps something wrong with the new patch update?

May 19, 2020 at 16:07 #27633fra81ModeratorJust to be clear: nothing is changed regarding hardware decoding in version 6.10. The only change is that hardware decoding is now enabled by default also for large screen resolutions (in https://www.nomachine.com/FR04R03970 you can read about the reasons).
Unfortunately it looks like that some card/drivers combinations are still affected by this problem. For some users updating Intel graphics drivers fixed the issue, but not for all (make sure you reboot the machine after updating, by the way). As far as we know the problem is in the drivers and there it should be fixed.
May 19, 2020 at 17:32 #27634rmdaileyParticipantWhat about for those of using NVIDIA graphics cards? I’m on the latest driver version from NVIDIA for my card (GTX 1060 6 GB) and continue to have the issue. Updating to an intel driver isn’t an option for me given the card origin.
May 19, 2020 at 18:03 #27642fra81ModeratorSo far this issue was only reported against Intel. Do you confirm that NoMachine is set to use the Nvidia card in the Nvidia control panel and not the integrated one (unless the integrated card is disabled in BIOS or you have an AMD CPU)?
May 19, 2020 at 18:45 #27646rmdaileyParticipantMy monitors are only connected to the output for the graphics card, so it’s unclear to me how the integrated graphics card could be involved at all, and NVIDIA’s language on their site seems to indicate that external monitors hooked up only to the graphics card will always use the graphics card (see this language here – “Programs and videos that launch on external displays that are driven by the NVIDIA GPU will always use the NVIDIA GPU rather than the integrated graphics processor.”). That being said, I’ve downloaded the intel driver update software, and the only updates to apply were for bluetooth and wifi, so presumably my graphics driver is also up to date for integrated graphics, regardless of whether it’s being used or not. The problem still persists when client side decoding is enabled.

One is in the Intel drivers, occurring when the monitor on the client machine has a resolution higher than FullHD (1920×1080). That seems to be fixed in the last drivers. Another issue was found in the NoMachine software, only occurring when the server machine has multiple monitors. This will be fixed in the next release, but if anyone wishes to test a preliminary patch, just send an e-mail to forum[at]nomachine[dot]com.
