H264 encoding?

    I’d like to run an xfce4 desktop on my laptop and display/control it on a Raspberry Pi on the local ethernet network.  I’d like to be able to watch 1080p video on the Raspberry Pi this way, but the bandwidth requirements are too much so I’d like to encode the display with h264 for decoding via the RPi’s GPU.  I don’t know of a way to do this with X11 forwarding.  Can it be done with NX?

    Currently NoMachine supports GPU-accelerated H.264 decoding only on Windows and Mac OS X systems.
