High CPU load with Rocky Linux release 8.6

Hello.

I tried to find a possibly universal procedure to debug such a problem, I couldn’t find it, though, so far.

Each time I try to use the remote desktop a nxnode.bin process produces 100% CPU usages burst, and the session is actually unusable.

The OS in mentioned in the subject and rpm -qa | grep nomachine gives nomachine-7.10.1-1.x86_64.

What do you suggest me to do?

We are not aware of similar issues on Rocky Linux. Can you send us the logs of the affected machine? And the GDB stack of that process when CPU usage is high?

It turned out it was NOT a problem with NoMachine, but rather with the desktop session itself, with frequent bursts of CPU usage related to a /usr/bin/gnome-shell when the desktop was accessed locally. Since I was not interested in using specifically the Gnome environment, I resorted to the Mate environment: both the desktop and the remote desktop via NoMachine now work with no overload.
