I am running a Dell XPS 9340 laptop that has a 3K 2880×1800 display. NoMachine is one of the remaining apps I use that does not seem to support high DPI displays. Both the NoMachine app screens themselves and the remote client display are not properly scaled for easier visibility. Is there currently a way to address this? If not, what are plans to address it in future releases? Thank you!

    Hi,

We have planned to add an option to capture the screen of the server at native pixel resolution on High-DPI displays as well as make the NoMachine User Interface “DPI Aware”.

You don’t mention what OS you are using  butif you are using Windows, a possible workaround is to

    – Right-click the NoMachine app shortcut on your desktop and select Properties
    – Select the Compatibility tab
    – Click “Change high DPI settings”
    – Check the box “Override high DPI scaling behavior”
    – Select “Application” from the combo under “Scaling performed by”

Sorry for not including the OS. The Client OS is Ubuntu 24.04 and the remote system is Rocky Linux 9.4. All my machines are Linux.

The High DPI display (on my Dell 9340 Laptop) is running Ubuntu 24.04. The remote machine is a VM running Rocky Linux 9.4.

Is there a similar workaround for Linux?

Unfortunately there isn’t a similar workaround on Linux.
