    Hi,

In the past, using Win 10, have used this 2020 post to find crt key file for manual verification of SHA256 hash. Now, using Win 11, am getting non-matching hashes when attempting to connect. Saw this 2022 post but it does not provide a file path that will produce a matching crt key file. Searched the forum with no updated post showing any other file location.

    Using (free) v 18.16.1 on Win 10 Home 22H2 & 11 Pro 24H2

Verified both through win cmd certutil and Karen’s hasher that the crt file located at C:\Program Files\NoMachine\etc\keys\host is not the matching file.

A file search for nx_host_rsa_key.crt did not find another version.

Strangely, there is an NX folder which I cannot get access to at C:\Users\nx

Any help to find the active crt is very much appreciated, as is this forum

Hi, the path is C:\Program Files (x86)\NoMachine\etc\keys\host\nx_host_rsa_key.crt. Can you tell us the precise steps you took to verify the NoMachine host key certificate?

Based on image attached, left side shows Karen’s hasher and CMD windows certutil matching for the hash of the crt in Program Files on the Win 11 box – just to be redundant.

The right side shows a Linux box calling back to the same Win 11 box showing the mis-match; below shows Win 11 box with no NoMachine folder inside of Program Files (x86).

I’ve redacted the center of the hashes but they do in-fact match on the left side of the attachment.

    Thanks for your time
