On my laptop where I run the NoMachine player… once it’s connected to a remote PC…

How can I programmatically detect that a connection is active in a batch file?

I need to kill XMouse before I make remote connection and restore it after I close the connection.

Using v7.7.4 I can locate the NoMachine window in a  loop after starting nxplayer (which does not block)

But with v6.4.6 the connection list window closes after I select a connection.

I no longer have the v7.7.4 installer and it seems NoMachine does not have the old versions to download.

I have found v7.7.4 to download from other sites and digital signature says they are okay, but are they?

The latest v9 version shows a connection terminated window which is annoying.

    Any ideas?

You can modify the shortcut starting the Player by adding the option --exit-always to the command line. However, when doing so, the Player can still try to reconnect to the server if there is an unexpected error. If you want to avoid it by just terminating the Player as soon as any errors occur, change the key “Automatically reconnect to the server” to false in the file %USERPROFILE%\.nx\config\player.cfg
