How to access to my NoMachine server that’s running outside of my LAN

Hello.

I’ve installed NoMachine on Ubuntu 18.04 on my Jetson Nano and I’ve connected to the board the modem-router Huawei E3372h and inside it I have placed a SIM card which provide to me a mobile connection instead of a WI-FI. So now the board is connected out of my LAN and I would like to login in Ubuntu remotely using the NoMachine client that I have installed on Windows 10. This is the error that I get when I try :

I would like to know the reason why I’m not able to access to my NoMachine server if it is out of my LAN network,even if I have restarted the server, I have opened the port 4000 on the Huawei router. I don’t know what to do further.

Are you using the correct IP address to connect because everything looks fine in your configuration.

The IP to use is the one that starts 10.175.xx.xxx (checking the first image in the long list of items you posted).

Which IP number should I use? The external one? The IP number that I get going on the website: ‘https://showip.net/’? On port 4000? I did it. It does not work because the error “a connection timeout while trying to connect to “external ip” on port 4000.

I don’t know which kind of IP is the one that starts with 10. Usually, my external IP starts with 5.

I looked at the second screenshot that you have in your long list of images. I can’t copy it here because it contains sensitive data so you would be better to remove it IMHO. However, if I look in your “Stato del Server” where it says “usa un IP dalla list….” it’s the last one in the list, and it begins with 10.

Failing that, I don’t know what else to suggest other than wait for NoMachine Network.

The Ip which starts with 10 is not the external IP of my mobile connection. Im not sure which kind of IP is this. it seems an internal ip,such as 172 or 192. As I said, the external IP of my mobile connection starts with 5. I can see it going on the website ‘www.showip.net’

My mobile provider does not supports the nat. So, do u know a workaround for this ?
