I’m using  4.2.27-1  free version under Linux Mint. I find it annoying that the view will scroll automatically whenever the mouse approaches the edge of the window. Is there a way to disable this feature and use the scrollbars exclusively? Other than this I am very satisfied.

    Hi dhfx.

Currently there is not a way to disable the automatic scrolling. We’ve often evaluated it, but we’ve never implemented it because of the equation “most wanted features divided by UI available area”. 🙂
The quicker solution to this problem may be adding the option in the configuration file, so that you would need to change it manually. We’ll have to spend more time to understand how to change the UI to offer the possibility to change the option through a checkbox.
Would this be fine for you?

Tor: Thanks for the quick reply. A checkbox would be ideal, although I would be happy to have it accessible in the config file, since it is more in the line of a user preference (of course, this implies that for multiuser systems, there is a separate config file for each user).

A refinement would be to be able to specify the depth of the sensitive region, i.e., the extent in pixels from the window edge. A depth of 1 would still allow the viewport to be moved by “pushing” the edge of it with the mouse pointer, and a depth of 0 or -1 would in effect disable the auto-scrolling completely.

BTW, is there a list of existing options that are controlled from the config file?

The only option that cannot be controlled from the interface is “SSH client mode”, documented here: https://www.nomachine.com/AR09L00813

Thank you very much for your feedback!
