On mac Ventura, I swapped out my router and my mac’s ip address changed.  I thought if I stop the server, it would start back up but clicking the icon doesnt work (maybe the old wrong ip is in a config file), and starting it from the command line says “Service: nxd already disabled”

How do I re-enable it from the command line?   or update the config with the new IP ?

I’m unable to reboot the system and want to fix it without rebooting.

Hi. You don’t need to do anything when the IP changes, the server automatically reconfigures and notifies the new listening address. If you’ve physical access to the server you can start the NoMachine player, enter Settings > Server > Status and click the “Start the server” link. If you want to do it through a terminal, run the command sudo /etc/NX/nxserver --startup.

I already tried that from the command line, but it returns:

    NX> 162 Disabled service: nxserver.
    NX> 162 Disabled service: nxnode.
    NX> 162 Disabled service: nxd.

so how do I enable the “disabled” services?

Can you send us the logs of the server? Go to Server settings > Security > Take logs.  Submit them here or send directly to forum[at]nomachine[dot]com making sure to reference the title of this topic, thanks!
