    Hello,

We can still reproduce the bug when use HTTP proxy with password authentication in the latest NoMachine v8.6.1. In the ticket answer was said that the bug will be fixed in the upcoming v8. I’m wondering if the bug has been fixed?
The Nginx proxy server is configured as a forward proxy. Connection fails with the same error as before when HTTP proxy is configured with password authentication:

Could not connect to the server. Error is 5: Input/output error

Errors from the server log /usr/NX/var/log/nxserver.log:

DaemonGreeter/DaemonGreeter: ERROR! Invalid client identification '
    '.ror: Invalid client identification '
Warning: Connection from port failed on Thu Jul 6 09:08:56 2023.
Warning: Connection error is 22, 'Invalid argument'.
Info: Handler with pid 1844 terminated on Thu Jul 6 09:08:56 2023.
NXSERVER ERROR! Server: Encryptor context not received.

Nomachine server: nomachine_8.6.1_3_x86_64.rpm installation file, OS: CentOS Linux release 7.9.2009 (Core)
Nomachine client: NoMachine Enterprise Client, version: 7.9.2, Platform: Mac OS X

    Thank you in advance

Do you get the same problem if you connect from an Enterprise Client version 8.6?

We have not been able to reproduce this problem when connecting from either client v7 nor 8.6.
Please confirm the nginx version and which specific macOS ?

I tried to connect from an Enterprise Client version 8.6, the error is different:

DaemonGreeter/DaemonGreeter: ERROR! Invalid server identification '
    '.
    Error: Invalid server identification '
    '.
    DaemonClientApplication/DaemonClientApplication: WARNING! Session terminated abnormally.
DaemonClientApplication/DaemonClientApplication: WARNING! Error is 22, 'Invalid argument'.

The entire session log file was attached.

    Nginx version: openresty/1.15.8.1
    MacOS version: 13.2.1 (22D68)

I tried today to install openresty, but I could not succeed to correctly configure it to work as normal http proxy. I was getting that proxy was refusing my connections.

Can you verify if you can use your current proxy serverĀ  in your browser to access other websites?
