I use NX to very successfully connect to Ubuntu instances on VMWare. However, I would like to not use the console session as it is visible and can be taken over by anyone with access to the VMWare server. Microsoft RDP, for example locks the console out while connected. I believe NX can also do this, but I do not know how to specify it. I am using the latest NX on Ubuntu, OSX and Windows.
