I am using Mac Yosemite, NoMachine 4.3.30. Remote is Windows 7. I’m connecting a remote disk “C:\”. The volume shows up in Mac with all files present, however I can’t search for files in the volume. When I go to terminal and type in “sudo mdutil -a -s” it lists the NoMachine remote volume but it states Error: unknown indexing state. When I try to turn on the indexing through “sudo mduntil -E -i on /Volumes/C/ I get the same error.

Google doesn’t seem to help. Anyone know how to deal with this?

    Hello,

At the moment Spotlight index with remotely connected discs is not currently supported.
