Is it possible to disconnect NoMachine from the host?

Hi,

I use NoMachine when working remotely to access my work computer. However, due to the wifi at my office not always being the best I sometimes lose the connection and this will occasionally cause NoMachine to not realise that it’s been disconnected, leaving the host’s screen blank and the computer unusable. This has happened a few times at the end of the day, and the next day when I come in to the office I have to force restart the PC.

So, is there like a keyboard shortcut for terminating a connection on the host that could be used when NoMachine has not disconnected correctly? Or is the only option to restart the PC (or maybe use another device to try to connect and then terminate the connection properly)?

We would need you to enable debug in the logs in order to understand why NoMachine is not recognizing the disconnects correctly. Please follow the instructions here, https://www.nomachine.com/DT11R00182,  on the computer you are connecting to and when you’ve replicated the behaviour, extract the logs and submit them again. Thank you.

Can you update to the latest version and see if you can replicate the behaviour? Extract the debug logs as mentioned before and resubmit.

Connect with ssh and:

sudo /etc/NX/nxserver --history | grep Connected
sudo /etc/NX/nxserver --disconnect <session ID>

or even:
sudo /etc/NX/nxserver --restart

You could also try connecting from another device.
