System configuration:
- Raspberry Pi Buster will all updates running on Raspberry Pi 400.
- NoMachine 7.10.1 on Raspberry Pi.
- iPad Air 5th gen with iOs 15.5 and Apple Magic Keyboard (3rd generation).
- NoMachine for iPad 6.1.9.
Problem:
When using my new iPad go connect to my Raspberry Pi 400, many keys on the Apple Magic Keyboard do not work. For example, the space bar does nothing when I press it. To enter a space I must hit Shift-space.
Up and down arrows to nothing. This make is difficult to scroll through one’s command history. Left and right arrows do not work.
Sometimes I’m able to bring up a “soft” keyboard where spacebar works, but I cannot do this reliably.
Tab key does not autocomplete commands.
This makes it very difficult to perform tasks on my Raspberry Pi.
Are you planning on releasing a new iPad app any time soon?
I love NoMachine, it works very well when I connect to my Pi from Ubuntu and MacOS. But my iPad is easier to carry around. Thanks!
