I am running Ubuntu 13.04, with NoMachine Workstation for Linux version 4.0.369-2. I prefer to use Mate-Desktop on my Linux-box, so I have followed this instructions: https://www.nomachine.com/AR07K00676
When I log in to my Linux-box from a NoMachine Enterprise Client, I am unable to start Mate-desktop correctly (virtual display). After searching thru the logs, I have found out the problem: When logging in, there should be created a folder under /run/user with my ID. DBUS and other services uses this folder. However, when logging in from the client, this folder is not created.

A workaround is to log in via SSH in advance, just so the folder is created. I can also login locally on the Linux-box in advance and just let the session stay open, before logging in via the Enterprise client, but it shouldn’t be needed.
