ParticipantI want to reopen this topic as I have the exact same problem as https://forum.nomachine.com/topic/mouse-clicks-not-working-after-upgrading-to-linux-mint-21 but with Mint 22.
I have a local machine running Mint 20, and a remote running Mint 22. When Mint 20 is serving everything is fine. When Mint 22 is serving I get mouse movement, but no response to clicks and no keyboard input to it.

KeymasterPlease try adding this option in /usr/NX/etc/node.cfg
DisplayServerExtraOptions "-eventdelay 0"
and try a new connection.

ParticipantThanks for the suggestion, I had seen it in other posts and tried it without success. I noticed that NoMachine is not in the Mint 22 software manager, but [removed] is, so I tried that instead, with a similar result. What seems to be happening is that the remote machine logs out when the monitor is disconnected (HDMI on a Nuc 8 running Mint 22) but not on the local machine (HDMI on a Nuc 6 running Mint 20). I have stopped there for now.

KeymasterIf you are still experiencing the issue with NoMachine, what you can do is send us the logs from the affected Linux Mint server host. You can extract them using the instructions here: https://kb.nomachine.com/DT07S00243
Send them to forum[at]nomachine[dot]com. Please use the title of this topic as the subject of your email. Thanks!

ParticipantIn response to your email today, here are some logs.
The one timed at 16:09 records me connected to the server with a monitor plugged in, then unplugging the monitor and getting the mouse pointer moving but not operating, then plugging the monitor back in and saving the log.
The one timed at 16:37 adds to the previous log to record me attempting to connect with the monitor unplugged, getting the inoperative mouse, then plugging the monitor back in.
Enjoy.

KeymasterThe logs are clean. Are mouse clicks not actually working or is it the screen which is not updating?
In the case of the latter, it could possibly be because the host is headless. Take a look at this article which contains some useful tips.

ParticipantThanks for the link, solution 1 works fine without the monitor. Although, when the remote machine was suspended, the screensaver lock screen crashed. I set the screensaver not to lock the screen on suspension and all is well, but there may be better alternatives.
