Hey All,
I am trying to figure out if NoMachine can support our use case. Let me be explicit on what we have and our requirements.
Each member of our entire team has:
* a single dedicated Linux headless virtual server running NoMachine server and GNOME
* a Windows machine with NoMachine client
* 4, 5, or 6 physical displays attached to the Windows machine
What we want is to dedicate 2, 3, or 4 physical PC displays to the NoMachine client, leaving 1 physical display for routine corporate tools and 1 or two displays for Operations and Monitoring.
What does not work well is a running the NoMachine client on 1 or all monitors. 1 is not nearly enough real estate, and the ‘all displays’ option is a non starter, since that would obscure our operations tools.
Spanning the Linux desktop across multiple monitors is not something anybody seems to want. I see some mention of using less than ALL of the client side monitors (something more than 1, but less than all of them), and also some mention of being able to maximize a specific application within a single client display, and that is probably something our team could use.
I can’t determine if this is possible using any combination of NoMachine products. Is such a set up possible, or close to possible, and what would we need to set up for this to work?
Regards.
