Back in the day when I used [removed], there was multiple workspace support when running the “Native” window manager (i.e. floating window mode). This was not unlike the multiple workspace feature supported by most X window managers (i.e. gnome, kde, xfce, etc.). You could assign individual windows to a specific virtual workspace or ‘pin’ it to appear on all workspaces. Only the windows associated with currently selected workspace would appear in the Windows taskbar.

Could this feature be added? There could be a workspace selector in the connection window, and/or the selector could be accessed by right-clicking the connection window icon on the Windows taskbar.

Thanks for the suggestion. We will certainly evaluate and if it fits in with our roadmap, we’ll open a Feature Request.

The feature that you’ve described looks exactly the same that is implemented in Gnome or KDE, as you noticed. The word you used perfectly describe such a feature. The main issues would be about integrating it with the existing user interface (thanks again for the suggestions) and introducing the idea of workspace that would be completely new for some users.
