New (non-physical) desktop for a specific user

Hi,

I have the NX server running on Ubuntu 22, with a client running on Windows. Up till now, I’ve been connecting with my own Linux user to the physical desktop, which is exactly what I need.

Now, I want to allow a new user in. However, I don’t want them to login to the physical desktop and rather have them connect to a new desktop instead (preferably a persistent one). How do I configure the server to do that?

Hi, what you need is the Workstation product. It’s available in evaluation from the download section of the website here:
https://downloads.nomachine.com/download-enterprise/

It lets you run up to 4 “virtual desktops” on the same machine which are also persistent.
