Sometimes when a user logs out of their Windows 10 account, Windows will show one of those full-screen messages with something like “Waiting for these applications to close:” or “These applications are preventing you from logging off:”

When these types of screens come up, they are not displayed to the remote user via NoMachine.  Instead, they are kicked from NoMachine, and subsequent attempts to log in with NoMachine only displays the error “No available sessions on this server.”  Our only solution at this point is to kick the user out via Remote Desktop, or physically connect a keyboard and monitor to the machine and click one of the buttons to continue past it.

How can NoMachine (or perhaps the OS) be configured to show this screen over NoMachine so that the user can proceed past it themselves and complete their log-off?

    Hi mjordam,

at that stage the OS is asking all applications to terminate now, including NoMachine. It looks like some other application is misbehaving here, not NoMachine. I don’t know if any trick would be possible to allow NoMachine wait for all other applications, but I’m afraid it wouldn’t feel right.
