No server is available on this host

Hi,

I have a Linux Ubuntu 18.04 LTS as NX server in the cloud and a local Mac as NX client.

I have telnet external_ip 4000 working fine from my Mac to the remote cloud instance.

I have put in firewall both ingress and egress, both TCP 4000 and UDP 4214 I think, the one that was written in the client/server GUI for UDP.

I am getting this error:

No server is available on this host. This may be because no servers have been added or because they are temporarily unavailable. You can wait for a server to appear in the list, or try again later.

Please advise.

Hi Nicu, the message you pasted is from Cloud Server which is used as a gateway or broker to access other NoMachine servers, and also foreign servers. Its suitable for organizations which want to create their own “cloud of servers”. You should add other servers from our Enterprise range. Here you can find more information:

If you want to just access the remote desktop on your Ubunu host, install the free NoMachine edition. You can download it from here: https://www.nomachine.com/download.
