Hi, I am experiencing an issue nearly identical to the one described here: No audio from Linux to Windows. I am also using Arch Linux but using OS X as the guest.

NoMachine free version 5.1.9; Arch Linux kernel version 4.4.5-1-ARCH. I’m connected to a physical display, and my desktop environment is MATE.

I’ll be sending full logs to forum at NoMachine momentarily, but it looks like the problem is likely related to this:

6693 NXNODE   PA_ConnectSocketCli: Cli socket [/usr/NX/var/run/nxdevice/D-1001-F9997829F787E07B5D9E246B68D38A05/audio/cli.socket] does not exist. Skipping connection.

That file is indeed missing, but I am unknowledgeable as to what I need to do to create it.

    Thank you in advance.

Hi, thanks for reporting and logs. Please check, if file /var/log/audit/audit.log exists. If it does, please send it to us (forum[at]nomachine[dot]com or attach here)

Hi, thank you for the reply. I am using Arch Linux so that directory does not exist by default (it looks like by installing the audit package (https://www.archlinux.org/packages/community/x86_64/audit/files/) and building a customer kernel could enable it, but I’d prefer not to go this route unless this is absolutely necessary).

Are there any specific information that those logs would contain that I could provide in addition to the original set of logs which I have provided (sent via email)?

Hi, thanks for replying. Those logs would contain additional information about system and files calls which would be useful for the investigation. We’re investigating and will update the post once we have some feedback on the issue.

There is a Trouble Report on this issue which you can see here:

    https://www.nomachine.com/TR04N06752

Users can follow the link to the Trouble Report and use the ‘notify me’ feature to know when a patch has been released.
