NoMachine announces the general availability of the latest update, version 4.2.15, of its desktop and server products for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux.
NoMachine 4.2 development was mainly aimed at improving performance and stability and solving all remaining issues affecting the 4.1. Besides that, a number of minor functional and graphical refinements were added, among them:
– Lightweight mode for virtual desktops in all Enterprise products has now become the default.
– Administrators can decide to show or hide the server preferences GUI.
– Improved DirectX support on Windows, with many bug fixes that should make possible to enable HW acceleration even on system where before it had to be disabled.
– Sound alerts for incoming message notifications.
