(I am posting this again because I believe my first message was posted as “private” and I don’t know why, sorry if this doubles up)
I am connecting to a NoMachine server on a host running Enterprise Desktop.
I connect twice, so I can access two different monitors.
Problem: The client connection will just crash (close). It does not error out (like what happens when it may loose a connection and show reconnecting with an error). It just closes unexpectedly. This can be cause by clicking on the session again or trying to type something. It appears to happen randomly on either monitor. I never had this issue when connected to one monitor, but it seems two are having issues.
Note I am using a trial version of Enterprise Desktop, is this expected since I haven’t paid for it yet? How can I access the logs of both client and server to determine what the issue is?
Tried following this link to gather logs but I really dont see anything / cant parse through all the data to figure this out
https://kb.nomachine.com/DT11R00181
Client: Tried watchingC:\Users\me\.nx\nxerror.log
andC:\Users\me\.nx\nxserver.log
But nothing shows up.
Server: I tried setting verbose (l7) logging in the server and watchingC:\ProgramData\NoMachine\var\log\nxd.log
andC:\ProgramData\NoMachine\var\log\nxserver.log
again either no data or not enough.May 17, 2023 at 08:29 #44273BritgirlKeymasterHi, both of your recent topics are public. In https://forum.nomachine.com/topic/fullscreen-mode-across-x-monitors I had requested logs and we were waiting for those 😉
We can use this topic and I will close the other one to not create confusion.

No, this is not expected. Just a quick note about evaluation software; all our evaluation software functions exactly as what you would download and activate if you had a subscription.
Please use the link https://kb.nomachine.com/DT07S00243 for the instructions to enabled and gather the logs.
Also confirm your environment, this is what you wrote in the other topic:
1) Client: Windows 10 Pro (systeminfo version: 10.0.19044 N/A Build 19044 ) — NoMachine version — 8.4.2 free
Server: Windows 11 Enterprise (systeminfo version: 10.0.22000 N/A Build 22000 ) — NoMachine version — 8.4.2 Enterprise desktop2) Are you now using 8.5? It would be better to update if you are not because we will investigate on 8.5.
3) The exact steps to reproduce the crash. E.g start session 1 to Windows server, start session 2 to Windows server, move mouse to….? etc
4) Confirm the number of monitors on client and server side.
