Hi all, hope you can help

I’ve been using NoMachine for a few weeks to connect to my desktop PC from my laptop over LAN, and all was well, loving the program. Recently though its developed an issue – the desktop PC was shut down overnight, as it usually is, and after rebooting, I cannot get NoMachine to connect to it from my laptop anymore.

Both computers are on Windows 10, and as I said its been working perfectly up until now. The local IP of the desktop PC hasn’t changed, and rebooting both PCs and restarting NoMachine on each has yielded no results.

The odd thing is that the desktop PC is still able to connect to my laptop – which is not at all what I need, but surely proves that the connection itself is solid. Since this has happened, NoMachine on the laptop has been giving me a timeout error when trying to connect to the desktop PC, but in the last few minutes has stopped being able to find the desktop PC on the network at all, even though the desktop can still see the laptop, and the settings between the two NoMachine installations are identical as far as I can tell.

    Anyone with any suggestions?

I updated to the latest version of NoMachine on both systems this morning. I’ve attached the session log if that’s of any help.

We strongly recommend you update to 5.1.24 and check whether the problem disappears. If that didn’t help read suggestion from post, because issue looks similar: https://www.nomachine.com/forums/topic/no-available-sessions-4#post-11045
