I set up NoMachine on an Ubuntu MiniPC at home, and was able to use it via WiFi. However, out in the field I use the MiniPC in a headless configuration (with an HDMI dummy plug to get video display). I joined the MiniPC to the local WiFi network without difficulty, but I could not connect to it no matter what I did. Eventually I plugged it into a spare router with ethernet and was able to connect. From there I could see that NoMachine seemed to bind to the ethernet port, but not to the WiFi network connection (which was still active). I was able to connect via Ethernet but not WiFi, even after rebooting the Ubuntu machine with no ethernet connected (so the only wireless connection was WiFi).
I’m a newbie when it comes to Ubuntu and NoMachine. Is there something I’m missing about getting NoMachine to listen to inbound connections on ALL network connections?
