    Hi all,

I have a slight conundrum with a NoMachine setup.

    NoMachine – latest version.

Server PC is Windows 11 with 3 monitors, display settings as extend.

Headless 1 goes onto monitor 2.

Headless 2 goes onto monitor 3.

Both these are Windows 11 and each control an astronomy mount/cameras.

If I make monitor 2 active, I cannot move to another pc or monitor without going via ctrl-alt-del. If I do that I can move cursor between the 3 monitors. None of the other ctrl options allow me to switch. Am I ‘stuck’ with this as my only option to move between the PCs?

    Hi,

    please tell us:
    1) if pointer/cursor grabbing is enabled in the Player.
    2) if you’re sending Ctrl+Alt+Del through the shortcuts menu and you’re reaching the Windows security screen (lock, change user, task manager etc)
    3) are those two players connected to the same desktop, each one showing a different monitor?

    Hi,

    1. Yes

    2. Yes – reaching the primary PC which allows me to switch

    3. Yes.

I’ve decided to go back to [removed] (multi-version), it does the job I need.

    Thank you.

Coming back to NoMachine, as [removed] makes a mess of screen resolutions, I discovered NoMachine only allows one control at a time on the installation I have.

Make Headless 1 active, deactivates Headless 2! Vice versa.

I’m assuming you’ve got the free edition installed on the Windows 11 PC. A NoMachine Free Edition installation will accept 1 connection. If you’ve started a connection to your Windows 11 PC and then start a second connection to the same PC, the first connection will close. Two NoMachine players connecting to the same Windows desktop requires Enterprise Desktop.

So you could try the Enterprise Desktop product – it’s available as evaluation software.
