    Hi Forum:

I was not able to find an update to the following topic:

    https://www.nomachine.com/forums/topic/connect-to-host-behind-nat-network#post-9421

I too would like to connect to a PC sitting behind a mobile hot spot. I’m receiving a “Failed to map the port on the gateway” error message. I have port forwarding enabled in the hot spot, and am forwarding both 4000 and the displayed gateway (23648).

Is this not possible at this point or is there a procedure to reference? Or is it a different product?

    Thanks – brian salzano

If you forwarded port correctly it should work if you connect to External IP of that ‘mobile hot spot’ and Port 23648 in your case. This should forward it to port 4000 of you local nxserver machine.

Can you write more details about your mobile hot spot? What is the device? Is tethering enabled there? Is it possible to enble UPnP?

    Kroy:

Enabling UPnP got the client to grab a gateway port. That’s good. But still can’t hit the connection. Have also added UDP port forward for the two client ports in addition to TCP. I’ve attached the connection and session logs from my local machine. Maybe there’s something in there that an experienced person might spot? I looked through but I don’t think there’s much to go on.

    Thanks very much.

Can you submit those to forum[at]nomachine[dot]com. They may have been refused due to size.
