    Hi,

I just installed version 8.6.1 on Windows 11 home, PC1 & PC2. I am trying to connect from PC1 to PC2 running the same software and version of windows. PC1 can connect to other computers fine.

I can begin a connection from PC1, enter my user ID and password etc. Then the connection gets reset by peer with error 108. What I noticed is on the host when I have the NoMachine window open in the lower right hand corner there is a message indicator that says Desktop is shared then it flips a few seconds later to desktop not shared and then a few seconds later it flips back to desktop is shared. This just keeps going on forever and this is what I believe is preventing me from successfully opening a connection to this machine. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software to no avail.

[removed] and [removed] are also installed and work perfectly.

    Any suggestions?

    Leo.

Hi, we aren’t able to reproduce the issue – we checked with all the latest Win 11 updates as well.

We will need logs with debug enabled from the Windows you are connecting to (the one which keeps turning “desktop shared” on and off).

Please follow the instructions here for Windows:

First Step: Enable Debug Level on the Problematic Server/Node Host
    https://kb.nomachine.com/DT07S00243

Once you’ve enabled debug, go to your other Windows machine and start a connection. Reproduce the problem. Gather the logs.

    Hi,

I sent the logs to the email address listed above.

    Thanks.

We were able to reproduce a similar issue and compared the logs which show the same error. It affects only the 64-bit package. A temporary workaround is to use the 32-bit version. Try it and let us know.
