I have used NoMachine for a long time without issue. I normally use it to connect to my Windows machine from my Linux machines.
I recently discovered that I cannot connect from one Linux to another. I haven’t tried Windows to Linux.
It appears that everything goes OK according to the logs, but no desktop is found. So, I tried starting the desktop on the target with Xorg instead of Wayland. The connection worked without issue.
This something that I can live with and workaround, but with distros contemplating dropping Xorg completely, it would be great to have Wayland functionality back in future releases.
Note: all of my Linux desktops run latest software (Gnome 46)
