Still Awaiting the highly anticipated NoMachine Anywhere, but just out of curiosity, will it be available on all platforms to start with?
November 15, 2016 at 11:36 #12893BritgirlKeymasterYes, it will be available on all platforms. The software is ready. We are testing it and working at setting up the infrastructure, which is not a minor task. It should be available in Beta shortly.

November 21, 2016 at 12:05 #12933apg1979ParticipantDone thanks! So currently i’m using teamviewer for this function to access my home computers (mac/linux) but they have an issue if you use a work network to connect to personal machines (commercial use conflict) but the good thing w/ them is it doesn’t have any issues getting around firewalls. Do you know if network/anywhere will work a similar way? really all I’m trying to do is find a way to connect to my home computers when I’m not there if needed
November 21, 2016 at 15:50 #12951BritgirlKeymasterAnywhere/Network will basically remove the need for knowing the IP address of your remote computer. Right now you can get access to your home computer provided you know the IP in advance and your router has UPnP enabled or you’ve set up port-forwarding, (https://www.nomachine.com/forums/topic/remote-with-no-upnp).
It will be a free service. Licensing-wise, you will be able to continue to use NoMachine as you are now: one connection available from home-to-office, or office-to-home 🙂
November 22, 2016 at 08:58 #12952apg1979ParticipantAwesome thank you. As far as licensing goes, will we be able to have it installed on multiple machines but can only have one active connection going?
November 22, 2016 at 10:10 #12963BritgirlKeymasterLet’s clarify 🙂
NoMachine on the connecting device (i.e connections going out) will let you start as many connections as you want at the same time. E.g you can connect from your tablet (the connecting device) to a Windows at the office, to your Mac at home, to a friend’s Linux, even at the same time if you want. I.e. we don’t count the connections going out from a NoMachine installation.
NoMachine installed on the computer you want to access (let’s call it the remote host) will allow one connection coming in. It won’t be possible to allow more. The only way to allow more is to install Enterprise Desktop. Installing Enterprise Desktop means that you are then into commercial use of the product. To sum up, we count the connections coming in.
Remember our EULA is available on our website as well and defines Individual and Commercial use: https://www.nomachine.com/licensing-5
It’s pretty clear about what you can and can’t do. If you’re still not sure, I suggest you contact our sales team (see Contact Us in the footer of the website). They will be happy to clarify any doubts you have 🙂 -
