NoMachine not connecting – stuck at “Connecting to desktop…” on Windows 11

Hi everyone,
I’m using NoMachine on Windows 11 to connect to another Windows machine on the same network. It was working fine until a few days ago, but now it just gets stuck at the “Connecting to desktop…” message and doesn’t proceed further.

I’ve tried the following so far:

• Restarted both machines

• Reinstalled NoMachine

• Checked firewall settings and made sure ports are open

• Tried connecting with and without a VPN

  Still no luck. No error codes are shown—just a frozen “connecting” screen. Has anyone else faced this or found a workaround?

Hi, we are not aware of a similar problem. Please send us the logs from the NoMachine client device that you are connecting from.

Reproduce the problem, and keep the session window open. Open the menu panel (ctrl+alt+0 or click on the page peel in the top right corner of the window) click Connection and click on ‘Take the logs’.
