As a free user of TeamViewer, I have become fed up with their aggressive marketing practices and I am not willing to pay their ridiculous rate for “premium” features. NoMachine seems like an amazing alternative (based on the feature set, I would even go so far as to say that it is better than TeamViewer), but there is one issue with it: it is only reliable for devices that remain on one network.
Some of the devices that I need to be able to remote in to are laptops. Because the network they are on is not consistent, there is no way for me to easily access them. Does NoMachine have a feature that would allow me to have the servers on laptops run through a repeater on a server I control or something of that nature? Similar to a VNC repeater?

Does anyone know the answer to this? I have unfortunately been unable to turn up anything on this.
Thank you in advance.

For now, take a look at this article and see if it helps your case:
How to connect to NoMachine when the server is behind a NAT router or a firewall
https://www.nomachine.com/AR11L00827February 25, 2019 at 09:04 #21570DavidBParticipantHello Britgirl,
The plans for NoMachine Network are excellent news! I do have one question about it though: I noticed that the feature request dates back to 2012. Is there any information as to when it will become available? It is definitely not my intention to sound impatient or rude (I am a programmer and understand that these things take a while), but I am curious.
Regarding the link about how to connect when the server is behind a NAT router or firewall, these instructions are unfortunately not applicable to the problem I am trying to solve here. For the time being, I will continue to use TeamViewer for laptops and will move them to NoMachine once NoMachine Network becomes available.
February 26, 2019 at 13:35 #21599BritgirlKeymasterYour question is a valid one. The FR was inserted quite early into our roadmap – when we were still developing version 4. We started initial work on it and as you know how development goes, initial ideas evolve, room for improvement is found, set-backs can occur. We had planned to make a beta version or a test version available to those who signed up (via the FR or in the forums) not so long ago. To say that it’s not a popular request would be an understatement and it’s for this reason we have to get it right, for our users 🙂
