I have two Macbook pros running Big Sur. One is an older 2014 model which has the problem.
I have NoMachine running on the Mac. The server is started. The Mac can see the other two computers on the local network.
The Windows machine can only see the newer Mac, until I restart NoMachine on the older Mac, then the older Mac shows up to the Windows computer.
When I restart NoMachine on the Mac things work fine, until some later point – usually correlated with fully disconnecting from the older Mac, and letting the older Mac go to sleep / close the lid. At this point, neither the newer Mac nor the Windows machine see the older Mac.
Also I think it would be very helpful to have a “refresh” button on both the client view of NoMachine as well as some sort of quick refresh button on server NoMachine. Having to open the older Mac, go into status, click “restart the server”, type in root password, and click a dialog box, is a lot of steps to go through to make the machine show up on the network again.
Until a refresh button is available, Is there anything I can do to debug this behavior?
