I’ve got a NoMachine server running on my desktop, but cannot get a client to connect to it. Trying to connect to a physical desktop. I get a segmentation fault each time I try. Here are my system details:
Server
OS: Debian 13.0 “Trixie” (Desktop PC)
DE: LXDE with X11
NoMachine: 9.1.24 (installed from .deb)
Client
OS: Debian 13.0 “Trixie” (Laptop)
DE: XFCE with X11
NoMachine: 9.1.24 (installed from .deb)
I’ve also tried connecting from my Android phone (NoMachine 9.0.186), with the same result. I just get “Error is 104: Connection reset by peer.” accompanied by a segfault on the server.
Looking at /var/log/kern.log, I’m seeing (for example):

I have tried uninstall/purge of the offending server and reinstalling (same result).
I also tried various settings without result: – Disabling GPU acceleration – selecting video protocol (tried all three)
Any insights would be appreciated.
Peace,
Joe
