Using network machine access on clients MacBook running v9.

I log in, but there doesn’t seem to be any way for me to go back and forth between my Mac and his MacBook.

ESC doesn’t work, control, ALT or command click don’t work.

I need access to both simultaneously.

    Both MacOS Monterey 12.7.6.

Hi. Are you using the NoMachine window in fullscreen mode? If you do, you can Control + Option + M to minimize, or Command + Tab to switch to other local windows (this second method only works if you didn’t enable the keyboard grabbing, in such a case the shortcut would be sent to the remote desktop).
If you’re not using fullscreen, would you mind explaining where you’re pressing the ESC/Alt/etc keys, and what do you see on screen?

Dunno.  Waiting for the need to connect again.

I know I tried Cmd/tab, but I don’t recall if I had kb grab enabled.

When I tried ESC there was no result or error that I saw.

If you press ESC while you’re viewing the remote desktop, you’re just sending the key to the remote active application so it won’t have any effect on the client (with or without keyboard grabbing).
Next time you use NoMachine you could get a couple of screenshots to show what you’re trying to do. If you don’t want to publish them here, you can send them at forum[at]nomachine[dot]com.
